Terms of service
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms cover the Keychain.plus website, the Keychain.plus desktop app, and the usage hours and app keys you buy here. "Keychain.plus", "we", and "us" mean the operator of this service. "You" means the person using it. By creating an account, buying hours, or using an app key, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. Who can use Keychain.plus
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. If you use the service for a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it. You may not use the service if you are in a country under US embargo or on a US sanctions list.
2. Your account
Your account number is your login. We can't recover it if you lose it. Anyone who has it can use your account, so keep it private.
3. What you buy
- Each purchase buys usage hours for one app key. Hours from separate purchases aren't combined.
- The clock starts when the key is first activated in the desktop app.
- The clock can't be paused, and unused time expires when it runs out.
- Hours give you access to the AI models listed on our website. The list can change. If one model is unavailable, you can use the others.
- Prices are shown before you pay and are charged in US dollars through Stripe. Prices don't include taxes unless stated.
4. Rules for using the service
You agree not to:
- Share, sell, or publish your app key, or let more than one person use it.
- Use the service through anything other than the desktop app, or resell access to the models.
- Get around our technical limits or reach our systems or credentials.
- Use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, create malware, attack other systems, or produce content that exploits children.
- Break the usage policies of the AI model providers whose models you use.
We may apply technical limits to protect the service. If you break these rules, we may suspend or switch off your key or account without a refund.
5. Your content and AI output
You keep ownership of your prompts, code, and files and, to the extent the law allows, of the output. You let us pass your content to our model providers to produce your replies. The privacy policy explains what we collect.
AI output can be wrong or unsafe. You are responsible for reviewing it and for any edit or command you approve in the app. Keep backups.
If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
6. Refunds
- If you haven't activated a key, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase through the contact form.
- After activation, purchases are final, except for time lost to an outage on our side. For that time we'll give a refund or replacement time.
- A full refund or a chargeback switches off the key. Please contact us before disputing a charge.
- These terms don't limit any refund rights you have under the law.
7. Availability and changes
We don't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. If we shut down the paid service, we'll refund the unused part of any active key. We aren't responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
8. The desktop app
We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the desktop app with the service. The app updates itself. Don't copy, modify, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows. We keep all rights in the service and the app that these terms don't give you.
9. Disclaimers
The service and the app are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or code. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you will cover our losses and reasonable legal costs from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the service, or your breach of these terms.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if the law requires it. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 14 continue after your access ends.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and post a notice on the website for significant changes. The refund terms in effect when you bought a key apply to that key.
14. General
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term, we don't waive it. You can't transfer these terms. We can transfer them to a new owner of the service. We give notices on the website or in the app. Before you start a legal claim, contact us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
